Bradford Russian Ruslan And Ludmilla Legends Plate
Bradford Russian Ruslan And Ludmilla Legends Plate
Bradford Russian Ruslan And Ludmilla Legends Plate
This is the fourth plate in a set of four collector's plates I am offering today. This plate was the 1988 winner of the "Plate of the Year" by NALED (National Association of Limited Edition Dealers). This was the fourth plate in the Legends collection. These plates are gorgeous! Created in the time honoured Russian tradition of miniature painting on lacquer they were produced at Vinogradoff Porcelain. The plate measures 7 1/2" and is dated 1988. Each has hanging holes in the bottom edge. Fine 18K gold lines and gold overlay at the edge. Highly detailed, the plate tells the story of the lovely maid born of the snow, the wicked witch named Baba Yaga, as tame peacocks roam in exquisite gardens. This was the first plate ever to be produced in the U.S.S.R. Each plate comes in its original box with it's COA. The boxes, though sturdy do show dampness marks. The plates are in excellent condition.
