I recently had the opportunity to acquire some beautiful Bird figurines to present to my buyers. All of these came from a personal estate. In October of 1931 the Miyao company was formed in Japan. They made beautiful pieces to be sold to companies such as F.W. Woolworth, UCAGO (United China and Glass Co), Lefton, Borgfeldt, NAPCO, Lefton, and Enesco. I believe that all of these birds were produced by Miayo though only one is actually marked Miayo, some are unmarked but all include the name of the bird printed on the base.
